Warehouse Team Lead

Distribution - VSL Distribution Center

Full-time

Presence: On site

Contract position : No

Description
At Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system, and a huge part of this is achieved by growing food where people live, and growing it responsibly. To do this, we built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse and partnered with hundreds of local farms and food makers to assemble and deliver thousands of customized baskets filled with fresh, local, responsible food to our customers across Quebec every week. Our warehouse team is the key to our daily operations, and our team leads (aka our super team members) work closely to guide their team toward success.
Reporting to the Supervisor, each Team Lead is responsible for a sub-department of our Distribution Centre (reception, cleaning, facilities, portioning, packing or picking) and is trained to be an expert in their function. They ensure smooth daily operations and are responsible for motivating their team, completing documentation, and acting as troubleshooters on the warehouse floor. Team Leads hold daily syncs with their supervisor and go over the day’s plan with their team, assigning, monitoring, and inspecting their tasks to ensure they’re completed efficiently. The ideal candidate is a multitasker that can coach, reactively put out fires quickly, and proactively plan to avoid issues.
